Account Deletion Policy for Bhartiya Didi

At ShardaCare - Healthcity, your privacy and the security of your medical data are our highest priorities. We believe you should have complete control over your personal and health information.

If you wish to stop using the Bhartiya Didi application and want your account and associated data permanently removed from our active systems, please review the detailed guidelines and instructions below.

1. What Happens When You Request Deletion?

Account deletion is a permanent action and cannot be reversed. Once your request is processed, the following data will be permanently erased from the Bhartiya Didi app servers:

  • Personal Profile Data: Your name, date of birth, gender, phone number, and email address.

  • Medical Context: Any saved "Past Medical History" tags (e.g., Diabetes, Hypertension).

  • Consultation History: All chat transcripts, symptom logs, and conversations you have had with the Bhartiya Didi AI.

  • Media Uploads: Any photos or images uploaded for visual symptom analysis.

2. Data Retention Exceptions (Hospital Records)

Because Bhartiya Didi acts as a triage and routing service for ShardaCare Healthcity, there is a strict legal distinction between "App Data" and "Hospital Medical Records."

  • If you only chatted with the AI: All your data will be completely wiped.

  • If you requested a callback and booked an appointment: The data transmitted to the hospital to create your official patient file (Electronic Health Record) is subject to Indian healthcare data retention laws. While your Bhartiya Didi app account will be deleted, ShardaCare Healthcity must legally retain your official medical and billing records for the mandated statutory period.

3. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request the deletion of your account using either of the methods below.

Method A: Email Request (Recommended)

Send an email to our Data Protection team from the exact email address associated with your Bhartiya Didi account.

  • Subject: Account and Data Deletion Request

  • Required Information: In the body of the email, please include:

  1. Your Full Name

  2. The Phone Number registered with the app

  3. A clear statement requesting the permanent deletion of your account.

4. Verification and Processing Timeline

To protect your sensitive medical data from unauthorized deletion requests, our support team must verify your identity before processing the purge.

  • Verification: We may reply to your email or send an OTP to your registered mobile number to confirm the request belongs to you.

  • Timeline: Once your identity is verified, the complete deletion of your data from our active databases and backup servers will be completed within 7 to 14 business days.
